Sebastion:

Sadie. How you doing today? I'm good. How are you? I'm doing good. Doing good. So Sadie, for the people who may not know you, can you introduce yourself to the audience?

Sadie:

Yeah, so my name is Sadie. Um, I am an IT professional by day and a horror streamer by night, and I have never once been spar by a game ever. Please do not check my clip section

Sebastion:

I was about to say you're bitter than me cuz I, I am a certified chicken Uh,

Sadie:

there's definitely not a bunch of clips of me screaming and running in fear. It's fine. Fine. Never scared. Very brave. Very brave.

Sebastion:

I've been streaming

Sadie:

for about two years. Um, I didn't grow up playing a lot of video games. I only started playing about eight years ago. Uh, my husband got me into gaming with Fallout

Sebastion:

four. Okay. Okay. So Fallout four was a gateway into gaming for you. Yeah, it was.

Sadie:

I was so bad that I couldn't move and look around at the same time.

Sebastion:

it is a learned muscle, For most people starting out gaming like shooters are anything to do with the two analogs controlling two different functions. It's very hard for people to grasp. you started off at the deep end, so to speak. I did, yeah.

Sadie:

You did it. I, I could not defeat that first death claw Your husband had to do it for me,

Sebastion:

so, so I gotta ask though, is that what got you into hor the horror genre in general of gaming is like that deaf claw scared the living be Jesus side of you and you decided, hey, I wanna just get more of that feeling. I think so. It was like

Sadie:

a thrill, like a adrenaline junkie. Okay.

Sebastion:

Okay. Okay. I like that. I like that. So Sadie, I have two icebreaker questions that I like to ask my guests. The first one being, what are your top five games of all time?

Sadie:

Oh, top five. Okay. Let's see. Definitely the last of us. I am super excited for the show. Please to baby. Sweet baby. Five pound baby Yoda. Let them do a good job. Yeah. Um, Madison, which is a, it's another, I think solo dev, indie, or, um, until Dawn, which is fantastic. Detroit.

Sebastion:

That's right. You sure to come hear me? Yes.

Sadie:

Mm-hmm. Oh, I could play that game so many times. Not horror.

Sebastion:

No, no. I mean, it has some horror elements into it, like got some spooky. Yeah. Yeah. Like being in the basement scene. I think when you're like trying to escape that guy's house got a little scary. I'm not gonna lie to you. Yeah. Got a little scary. Yeah. A little bit. Mm-hmm. So, uh, you know, how many games was that? Am I miscounting out those? That's five. The last of us

Sadie:

Madison until Don Detroit. Oh no, that's four. Yeah. This is why I stream and don't do other things. Um, probably Visa massage or Vistage. It's depend on how you wanna say it. I like that. Just another very scary

Sebastion:

I like that. I like that scary game. I think the only game on your top five list that matches my top five list is the last of us. I absolutely adore the last of us. Have you played the second one? Yes. Part two. Mm-hmm.

Sadie:

I have to know, are you team Ellie or you team

Sebastion:

Abby? I'm team Ellie all the way, but you know, I admit Abby had substantial reason to go as crazy as she did. Mm-hmm. I completely understand that. And I will say, you know, despite like a lot of people's hate towards Abby, I really like her as a character. Like really liked her as a character. And I think it was the moment where you're in the, like the big stadium and you kind of like walking around and you can see how she's put her life together after everything that's happened to her. It just, I just fell in love with the character. I, I would love to see a side story with just Abby, to be honest.

Sadie:

Mm-hmm. I agree. I hated her at first. And when, like the first time you have to play with her, I was like, ugh. Mm-hmm. I don't wanna play this stinky person, but, uh, I grew to love her and I, I think I was, I seen Abby by the end of it. Love Ellie still. Oh. But I

Sebastion:

think I switched teams. Okay. Okay. I, I could respect that. So if they make a last, it was part three. Is that a day one buy for you?

Sadie:

Oh, absolutely. Mm-hmm. take my money. I understand. No second

Sebastion:

thought. I understand. So as we're recording this episode, I think the last of us comes out this Sunday. Are you gonna be watching it this Sunday night or are you gonna wait a little bit?

Sadie:

Absolutely. My butt is gonna be on my couch at whatever time it comes on. I think it's 10 o'clock my time. Mm-hmm. ready waiting.

Sebastion:

Oh. So I'm so excited. I am too. I am too. I, you're probably excited for different reasons than I am though. You probably wanna see all that clicker, like goriness and such, like that I just. I am not about that. I'm the characters.

Sadie:

I, I, I wanna see them portrayed in like real

Sebastion:

life. I understand, I understand. I'm the same way. Like I, I don't think I've ever had a game speak to me as heavily emotionally as the last of us. Love Ellie. Love Joel. I mean, I love all the smaller like characters that they meet along the way as well. So I'm like, I am just so excited for that, that show. I, I hope they do it justice. Me too. Me too. So my second icebreaker question for you. If Kirby absorbed you, what kind of powers would he get? Hmm. I

Sadie:

think he would get the power of falling asleep anywhere and everywhere. So that's me, So I can't tell you how many places I have fallen asleep. Stadiums, hurricanes, earthquakes, you name it. I'm sleeping

Sebastion:

through it. I like that. I like that. So your version of Kirby is like extra comfortable, basically. Ah-huh. Extra comfortable Yep.

Sadie:

Bad guys. Come in. Don't worry about it. Take a nap. I like that. That's my, that's my response to anything bad. Something bad's happening. Take a nap.

Sebastion:

I like that. You got a super chill Kirby So Sadie, let's get to the topic of the show. One of the reasons why I'm so excited to have you on the show is because you are such a dope streamer. You know, you do a genre that I am not a huge fan of because I am a certified chicken. I am a certified cowardly dog, like courage, the cowardly dog for, for those 90 kids like myself. But I saw some of your like streams one time and absolutely was enthralled with your personality. You're absolutely killing it. And I had to have you on the show to talk all things horror games that said what got you started streaming on Twitch? honestly,

Sadie:

it was the pandemic, uh, just being home all the time. I needed a creative outlet. So, um, making overlays, uh, coming up with ideas for interactive things on stream, making friends, having um, like a social outlet while the world kind of crumbled around us. Uh, and I really love talking to people, so it just kind of felt like home. Being on stream and trying to make people stay is just

Sebastion:

a little bit better. I like that. I like that. Yeah. So, um, what kind of lessons have you learned along the way as a Twitch streamer?

Sadie:

Um, analytics don't define you as a person. Mm-hmm. numbers should not be tied up in your self, self worth. Um, I learned to turn that number count off really quickly cuz it can really start to mess with you if you're trying to grow and one day you have like, 10 people there. The next day you have two. It's like, what did I do wrong? Mm-hmm. But you didn't do anything wrong. It's just kind of content creation for you. But I've, I've also learned to accept who I am a little bit better and just be, speak me. Don't try to fit myself into somebody else's box.

Sebastion:

I like that. I like that. Yeah. So you mostly, like I said earlier, you mostly stream horror centric games. What made you go to the horror centric route?

Sadie:

Uh, so when I first started out, I thought I was gonna be one of those cozy streamers. Mm-hmm. and play the Sends or Animal Crossing. And I just got bored. play Attention Stand isn't there for those kind of games. And it was Halloween and Famo phobia had just come out and I realized, holy heck, I love being scared. And I'm actually, I scare really easily. I love it. That's, I don't know.

Sebastion:

It's the thrill. So as a horror streamer though, what is some of your favorite games that you like to play? Um,

Sadie:

so right now I'm playing Mira Forge, which is really, it's really fun. Okay. It's a solo dev. Um, so it's, I love an indie game. I love an indie game. Uh, but I, the storyline is really good. you kind of follow a main protagonist who is kind of like trying to figure out where the last 20 years have gone. But it gets real sci iy with, they're trying to harness this power from other worlds and realms are starting to merge together, but the jump scenes are

Sebastion:

crazy. That sounds interesting. So what kind of like beastly like creatures are we encountering in this? Is it more like people haunting you or is it more like beast haunting you?

Sadie:

It's a lot of, it's a lot of weird beast. Last night we encountered spiders with baby, like baby doll heads that just kept like crying. Crying. That kinda, yeah.

Sebastion:

No. That kinda, or Oh

Sadie:

no. Yeah. And like people in, in cages with like huge teeth mouths. Teeth mouths. That's a new word.

Sebastion:

I like that though. I like, we can coin that one. Teeth mouth,

Sadie:

Yeah, it's,

Sebastion:

it's pretty spooky. Okay. Okay. So, you know, how do you normally find these games to, to play? Do you normally just sort of go where the wind takes you or do you have like a horror list that you kind of like go down?

Sadie:

Um, so I, I have a forever growing to be played horror game list. Um, and as they kind of come out, I, you know, kind of keep your finger on the pulse of all the new games. Mm-hmm. Um, so like right now the Choo Charles is on my list to play. Okay. Which is gonna be coming up in probably a couple of weeks, which is another spider

Sebastion:

game. I'm, I'm starting to see a trend here. I don't like spiders.

Sadie:

It's gonna be

Sebastion:

awful. So you don't like spiders And I take it if a spider was there in real life, you'd freak out right now, right? Yeah, a little bit. Little bit. Just a wee bit. A little bit. Okay. I like that. Uh, okay. So why, why do you wanna play the game full of spiders? This looks fun. I, I feel you. I feel you. You, you have like a fear, uh, like adrenaline factor that I do not possess So, yeah, it's, I, I've always been a, like a spooky. Avoider, so to speak. But, you know, I wanted to have you on the show because I like talking about all things horror, and I had a couple of people write in on the show requesting about a horror centric episode. So I want to hear what are some of the horror games that you're anticipating playing in 2023? Ooh.

Sadie:

So definitely two. Two Charles. Okay. That one just came

Sebastion:

out. So tell us about it. What, what's Choo Charles?

Sadie:

Um, choo Charles, like, I actually expected it to be more of a hoard style game, but apparently it's very open world. Um, so basically Chuchu Charles himself is a haunted old train engine. Like that is a

Sebastion:

spider. Like Thomas the train, but like Thomas the train.

Sadie:

Okay. Okay. But he's a spider and like, you kinda like go around the world and I think you're just trying to figure out ways to stop. Charles. I, I've kind of avoided all like, spoilers. Spoilers. Mm-hmm. Uh, but I'm really excited to play that. Um, I also have on the docket, there's a game called Summer of 58. Okay. Okay. That one, it was actually really pretty popular last year. Uh, but from what I have seen, I have seen a lot of people have very big reactions and like jump scares. Like things jump outta you out of the dark. And those are my favorite. The ones that you're not expecting.

Sebastion:

The summer of 58. I, you know, I think this is a smaller indie game as well, right? It is. Yeah. Mm-hmm. and first person psychological thriller. And, you know, I love a psychological thriller. Oh, you know, um, I am that psychological thrillers are about the closest I can get to playing a horror game. That and like a mystery kind of game. Have you ever played

Sadie:

any of like the, um, oh, hold on. My brain just stopped working. The, like the Qury or

Sebastion:

the qu? I, I haven't played it. I hear good thing for Ashes, the Dark Pictures anthology that Yeah, I, I've played a brief, brief intro because it was a PlayStation Plus game not too long ago of Okay. Yeah. So until dawn mm-hmm. Yeah. Yes.

Sadie:

I love those cuz I love the games where like, your decisions start to impact the gameplay. Mm-hmm. Uh, I definitely didn't unlive any of the characters. They all definitely made it to the end. Uh, I, you know, all but two Okay.

Sebastion:

Okay.

Sadie:

Yeah. That one. I highly recommend all of the Dark Picture anthology games. They're so

Sebastion:

much fun. You know, I, I'm wonder though, um, like recently I heard mixed things about Man of Madon. Did you like that one? I hated that

Sadie:

one. Don't play that one. where we pretend it doesn't exist. Okay. That one was the worst in my opinion. Uh, the story was kinda lackluster. The, the

Sebastion:

mechanics were just, nah. Okay. I, I was wondering because that one seemed like it was sort of like the black sheep of the family. Yeah. For a good reason. um, like it doesn't exist in there. One that just recently came out as well. Um, a Dark Pictures anthology game. Yes.

Sadie:

Um, I think about the

Sebastion:

Devil. Devil in me. Yeah. The devil in Me. I Have you played this one yet? I haven't, is this one gonna be, I'm really behind. Is this one gonna be on your anticipated list to play?

Sadie:

Absolutely. I still need to play their second newest one House of Ashes

Sebastion:

as well. I hear good things about House. House of Ashes. I, um, again, once again a chicken. So I will not be participating in in these festivities, but I hear good things. Yes. So, so what do you like about the Dark Pictures games?

Sadie:

Um, the storylines, even though like horror games, when you think of a horror game, you think of just like gore and blood and just like scary monsters. But a lot of times horror games have very, like deep and dark and twisty storylines, and they're a lot of times really kind of emotional. and I'm, I really love that about these games in particular. There's always like three or four different, like. Stories going on all at once and you're trying to like figure out how they all kind of work together. Mm-hmm. I love that about those games.

Sebastion:

I gotcha. I gotcha. Let me ask you, um, I have like two games in mind and I want to ask you if you played them. The first one is a game that came out semi like recently this year and it's a game called Immortality. Have you played it yet? I have not. let me give you the just broadest of pitches to see if this kind of like intrigues you. Immortality is a interactive thriller and the director Sam Barlow takes a real life actress um, he basically takes like real life footage from that he actually filmed himself and that footage is of three different movies and you're trying to figure out why these movies never got released and what happened to the actress, so to speak. So it is not quite horror this is almost like suspenseful, supernatural mystery that you're trying to solve. And in each footage you can sort of like piece together different clues, and your interpretation of what happened to her might be vastly different than the mine based on like the clues that we find and based on the story that that sort of develops.

Sadie:

That's so cool. Definitely just added it to my wishlist. It

Sebastion:

is. That's awesome. Yeah, I, I had such a good time playing immortality Like this is a perfect game to play with other people in the room because like y'all are all trying to like figure out the story and the, the puzzles and kind of like figure out what kind of happened. And each one of y'all might be like, no, do this next. Cuz I think I figured out, like, I think I figured out a component of the mystery. So immortality is a really good game. Um, this is like Sam Barlow's, I think second or third game, he had another game telling Lies, And it is very much in the same vein as this, but it is not, it's not a prequel to this, but. Yeah, immortality is a game on Xbox Series X and X and also pc. Um, so if you have a Game Pass, it's also on Game Pass right now. You can play for Oh, stop. Yeah. For the free right now. Yeah. So yeah, immortality is one that you should definitely check out. Um, another one. Since you liked, um, Detroit become human, did you ever play a little game from the, the same creators as Detroit become human? it is Heavy Rain. Um, I

Sadie:

have not played it myself. I do have it. Um, but I have seen other, uh, streamers and friends play it. What'd you think? I think it looks really good. I think the storyline again. Mm-hmm. that deep, dark, twisty kind of psychological thriller. Um, I'm kind of a snob when it comes to like mechanics.

Sebastion:

Oh, I understand that. those mechanics do not age well. I'm just one they do

Sadie:

not age well. I enjoyed watching somebody play it, but I don't know if it would be a game that I would necessarily play myself.

Sebastion:

I gotcha. I gotcha. So What games are you gonna be streaming in your upcoming slate?

Sadie:

Um, so definitely summer of 58, the Tutu Charles. there is another indie game called Dark Knot, uh, that I'm excited to play.

Sebastion:

What's that one about? I like the, I like the title. Yeah.

Sadie:

in Dark Knot. You'll get to explore the streets of a foggy city and. uh, exterminate monsters within insidious, uh, opponents dynamic battles and challenging puzzles are waiting for you. Your fate is in your hands. The way you approach those challenges is up to

Sebastion:

you. I like that. I like that. Yeah. So, I gotta ask you, um, as a horror centric gamer, what are some horror games that you'd recommend people check out? So I

Sadie:

absolutely love indie games. Mm-hmm. they tend to be, you could tell someone pours their heart and soul into these games. Um, watch areas, assistant, absolutely love.

Sebastion:

What is that one about? You're a

Sadie:

mortuaries assistant.

Sebastion:

Okay. Self-explanatory. self.

Sadie:

Um, you play, you play as a woman, um, Rebecca, and she has. just taken a job as a mortuaries assistant. Mm-hmm. Um, well and behold she gets possessed by a demonn and you're trying to expel the demonn. I like it. By by, you're actually, you actually performing duties as a mortuaries assistant, so it is a little bit more gruesome. Mm-hmm. cuz you're dealing with like dead bodies and like actually do things. Uh, but it is very scary.

Sebastion:

So all these games, are you primarily playing them on pc? I

Sadie:

primarily play pc. I do have a, a PS five. I, uh, play some games on there, but mostly I'm, I'm one of those stinky Puy players, mouse, and keyboard. All the

Sebastion:

way I feel you. I feel you. So what's next on your list? Um, it's Visa massage. Oh.

Sadie:

Um, it is, a very scary game because as you progress in the game, so you're trapped in a house and you're trying to figure out, there's different chapters and each chapter is a different story all within the same house, and you're trying to piece together what's happening. Uh, but as you move throughout the house, the house changes and things are chasing you and you're trying to solve puzzles. It's really fun, very scary. Um, and then there is Madison, which is a fairly new game. Okay? You feel along the same lines, you're, you, the game starts and your dad is pounding on the door and you have done something horrible and he's pleading with you to come out and you try to escape through your grandfather's house, and you uncover all of these secrets and like dark past and things are haunted you and chasing you, and you're trying to figure it out.

Sebastion:

Oh wow. Um,

Sadie:

uh, and then you have, uh, at dead of night. This one's a little bit different. Okay. It's kind of a point and click almost, but you're in a, um, you're, you've gone to meet up with friends at a hotel and none of them are now answering their phones and the person at the front desk is creepy af ah, if you start stalking you through the hotel.

Sebastion:

Oh, that's interesting. Yeah. It's,

Sadie:

it's a really

Sebastion:

scary one. That is interesting. You know, that sounds like something I would like attempt to play, but probably fall off of because I would probably have nightmares the next night

Sadie:

probably. If, if you do play it, I would say turn like the audio cues on. Okay. Um, because you have to rely on sound and it's very faint. So if, if you get a little cue, it's, it'll tell you, uh, Jimmy's breathing or Jimmy's behind you mm-hmm. so you, it doesn't scare you as bad. You can kind of see what's coming. I like that. I like that. Still jump scare, but not as bad. Uhhuh. Um, And then the last one is the layer of fear. Layers of fear games.

Sebastion:

Okay. I like that you added a collection there? Yeah, I think

Sadie:

there's two of them now and a third one is coming out this year. Okay. Um, it's one, it's one of those kind of games where your decisions

Sebastion:

matter. Oh, okay. So, um, like do you decide who lives, who dies sort of thing? Or is it more, it's a

Sadie:

more of a, a decision either you go left or right. Okay. You go left, the story changes. If you go right, it could get, get a different outcome. The story builds on the, on the decisions that you make, making your way through whatever area

Sebastion:

you're in. Oh, okay. I like that. I like that. Yeah. So, you know, other than the games you mentioned earlier, do you have like a most anticipated game for this year? Um,

Sadie:

I'm pretty excited for the new Legends of

Sebastion:

Zelda. tears of the Kingdom. I like that.

Sadie:

definitely not horror. Mm-hmm. Uh, I'm pretty excited for that one. That one's gonna be fun. That's kind of like a chill, laying in bed on the switch, just winding down.

Sebastion:

Game I feel you. I feel you. Do y'all have like a OG switch or is it more like a a Olay Switch. It's a

Sadie:

og. Okay. So I bought it for, my husband actually was never used it. I stole it. Um. when the breath of the wild first came out. Mm-hmm.

Sebastion:

So it's a little on the old side. My mind is too, I didn't bother to get the ole switch. I was just like, that's the same old switch, just a different screen, so to speak. And I can live with my regular switch that's working. Yeah, yeah. I understand. So another thing that's very unique to you and unique to your channel is that you are a taco connoisseur. You, you love all things tacos, all things tacos. What in your opinion, is the best type of taco on planet earth? Uh, soft tacos. Soft tacos. What, what's the, what's the main sort of ingredients in your version of this variation of the soft taco then? So

Sadie:

the best soft taco I have ever had actually was in Columbus, Ohio. of all places. You are kidding me. No, it was at this like little rinky-dink hole on the wall, Mexican place. and it was like a, um, tequila bra steak and like homemade, um, cilantro lime aioli. And it was, oh, it was so good. And it was, think of like a cheesy gorde to crunch. Mm-hmm. but like, um, a thousand times

Sebastion:

better. I like how that's the frame of reference, the cheesy crunch I'm like, we went straight Taco Bell on me

Sadie:

listen, taco Bells life. You gotta go down to the Taco Bell and get you a Baha. Haha

Sebastion:

blast. I like that. The accents and everything. I like that. Alright, so, so you're making tacos at home. What's gonna be the primary ingredients?

Sadie:

Um, it depends on how lazy I'm being. If I'm being super lazy, we're just go, we're just going real easy. We're just going around beef. Turkey or not Turkey. Ground beef cheese. Mm-hmm. lettuce, tomato, maybe a slice or two of avocado. Um, okay. Whip up a little bit of a, a lime, uh, aioli and drizzle that on top.

Sebastion:

Okay. I like it. I like it. If we're being real fancy. Oh, what's the fancy taco? Uh,

Sadie:

a Christie Park belly. So

Sebastion:

good. I like that. So good. I like that. So what, what's the drink you're pairing with the, the, both, the fancy taco and the regular taco?

Sadie:

Regular taco? Probably just a, just a Baja blast.

Sebastion:

Okay. Or

Sadie:

soda. Just, just, or beer chilling.

Sebastion:

Okay. I like that. And so the fancy taco does it, has a, does it have like a fancy drink? You like to pair it with, uh, a margarita? I like

Sadie:

it that, uh, on the rocks? Mm-hmm. mango strawberry. All good.

Sebastion:

I like it. I like it. So what's it like streaming? What's the Twitch schedule like? Um, I

Sadie:

have pretty much kept the same schedule for almost two years. Um, I am an evening streeter because I work, I work in the IT field during the day. Mm-hmm. Um, so I stream Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at 6:30 PM Eastern

Sebastion:

standard time.

Sadie:

we have been doing, um, a Souls Game on, on Mondays.

Sebastion:

Oh. Which Wish Soul isn't.

Sadie:

Um, shoot, it's,

Sebastion:

it's a pl bloodborne. A Bloodborne. Thank

Sadie:

you. I'm so bad at those types of games. Um, I think in the first day that I played, I died about 50 times. Oh, that's it. But who was counting My chat was counting

Sebastion:

That's not too bad though, for bloodborne. That's not too bad in three hours. A little bad, but not too bad. It's not too bad. It's not too bad. It's, it wasn't

Sadie:

horrible. But we, we play, we play some souls games. No fun. Every once in a while y'all catch us playing. Um, acute, cozy farm sim, something

Sebastion:

cute. Okay. Okay. But that's more like, that's more like a, a sandwich though, you are accustomed to giving people what they want. the tacos, you know, with some extra spice on a little lime and such like that. The sandwich is just from when you're feeling mouth that day, I'm guessing, right?

Sadie:

Yeah, usually when it's like, I've had a long day at work, I'm like, I just need to vibe, just chat with you guys. Just be present, hang out with my, with my friends, my Twitch family, and just turn the brain off.

Sebastion:

Okay. Do, does your Twitch fo followers have like a name that they like to call themselves? Do? Do they have like a collective name? So they're all my

Sadie:

employees. Okay. Um, our overarching brand is the taco truck. I like it. So they're all my employees. And then my moderators are my assistant managers. Um, our subs are the employees of the month. Mm-hmm. And then, uh, every, every month we have a featured employee of the month. So one, one of the subs gets selected and they get to have their picture on stream and all that on jazz.

Sebastion:

I like it. I like it. I'm guessing there's a discord that we can join as well. There is the taco truck. The taco truck. I like

Sadie:

it. It's all very office themed.

Sebastion:

I like it. So I gotta ask you though, um, out of all the horror games that you played, uh, what was your most favorite horror game to stream? Um,

Sadie:

maybe Alien

Sebastion:

Isolation. Oh, okay. That one's not too bad. I've played Alien Isolation. What? That

Sadie:

one's not too

Sebastion:

bad. That one's not too bad. Uh, it's maybe because I know what I'm expecting now. The Alien Universe.

Sadie:

Oh, you see, I, I played it before I'd watched the movie. Oh yeah. And I got Heck Shamed. My community was like, you've never seen this movie. No. But uh, Alien hears you, which is creepy.

Sebastion:

Oh yeah. It's a, it's a creepy game, but but it's not as bad as some of these other ones. You've named some of the other ones you've named. I might, I like, you know, I was watching a couple of trailers and I might have a nightmare tonight. Like those those are a little bad. Oh, no, no, no. I, oh, no, no, no, no, no. It's not maybe it's because I know what to expect because I have seen some of the movies, and maybe it's because I've watched or I've played a game called Pray. Have you ever played prey?

Sadie:

I have seen prey, but I've never

Sebastion:

played prey. Not quite the same game, but kind of a similar vibe of like, something stalking you and you kind of have to like be on your key Ps and Qs sort of thing. So that maybe that's prepared me for the, for those kinds. Those are maybe like the suspense games I can kind of get around. Okay. Like I can kind get into that your, what you've described though is pure horror with a little extra like s spiciness on top. And I've, I don't know if I'm ready for that level.

Sadie:

So to make things worse, I play these horror games with an extension, um, that gives the viewers an opportunity to send things to my stream. Like, it like pops up on my game screen. Oh no. Uh, jump scares in scary sounds. Or they take control of my character in game. Oh no. Uh, I can't tell you how many times that they have gotten me killed in a game and then just cackled, uh, my husband has sent it to me and I can hear him downstairs just dying laughing.

Sebastion:

what was it like when he did it the first time?

Sadie:

Um, so I was playing, um, oh, was I playing? It's called Biohazard, but it's one of the, uh,

Sebastion:

oh, resonate Evil buyer has. Yes. Thank you. Mm-hmm.

Sadie:

Are you? It's one of the resident evil games, and it was, it was the mom, I think, and she was like pacing back and forth and I was hiding, just freaking out. I was like, I dunno where I'm supposed to go. She's gonna touch me, she's gonna get me. And all of a sudden my character just starts slowly moving forward and I'm like, what the heck? What is happening? And, uh, of course she, she found me as I'm in full on panic mode because I can't control my character and he is just howling

Sebastion:

downstairs. Oh no, he got me killed. Oh. Like a rude, rude little boy. That was savage. Savage. He did not savage. He, he did not deserve the tacos that night. He didn't? Mm-hmm. not at all. resin evil seven is probably one of the games to where I've actually played resin Evil seven now. Oh, wow. Yeah. I played r e seven. Did I finish it? No, not even close. I, I very much chicken quit as I like to call it. What part did you chicken quit at? Um, okay, so you fight, I believe one of the main guys, he had a chainsaw and he had a chain that's pretty million on. Yeah, it's pretty early It's pretty early. Not gonna lie to him. pretty early. He, um, you fight one, eat I like, I fought him and then there was a guy, or maybe a woman in a wh. yes. And yes. So I avoided that person for a little bit, and then I was kicked out of the house. Uh, so I was roaming around in a swamp and the, I found a trailer out there. I remember this, it is coming back to me now. Um, so with the nightmares probably, but oh no. Um, but yeah, I found the, the trailer out there and I couldn't figure out how to get back or where to go, so to speak. And then when I did, I think I ended up in the right direction. And I think it was the next jump scare that I was just like, oh, I'm out. I'm out. I'm out. I'm completely out. But you know, like a masochist, I like completely dove into R E eight, like the, the time it came out. So r E eight, I feel like is a little better as far as like not being as scared because it's more action based. and you know, like even though there are like a whole bunch of crazy things that can't kill you, I was more accustomed vampires. Vampires and werewolves seem less intimidating than the supernatural elements of r e seven to me. Like those actually seem like ghouls are ghost, are kind of like possessed people. This more seems like just werewolves and vampires and I'm like, I can handle that. That is like, that's more action and gore. This other one is very much like supernatural, like jump scares. Yeah. Seven

Sadie:

was really gross. Like it was more gory, gross cannibal.

Sebastion:

Oh, that kitchen alone almost made me quick. So it is time for Pro nerd trivia. I'm gonna ask our guest right here, five different questions for five different types of nerded categories. I don't decide the category though. We have a will of destiny here. This will, it will be spun and then whatever category it lands on is the category we're gonna roll with, except for number five. And question number five, we have, we've, we're given our guests an option between option A or option B, the red pill or the blue pill, so to speak. She gets to choose Her fate here, is she gonna choose option A? Is she gonna choose option B? The kicker here is that she doesn't know what categories are different options. If she does get all five questions correct, she will earn the title of Pro Nerd, a title that only one person in the history of the show has gained. So the record right now is just the one person, everybody else, you know, that's the next runner up, is at three questions, and we have multiple ties amongst three, and then it sort of trickles down from there. Now. We'll, Sadie join the Hall of Fame. Let's find out. Sadie. Yes? Are you ready? I guess I feel like I built the suspense up for you. You know, Oh no. I think you're gonna do well. I think you're going to do well. So I'm clicking the wheel right here. Here we go. Round and round. Round it goes. When it stops, it has officially stopped at Pokemon. Oh, no.

Sadie:

I don't not think about Pokemon.

Sebastion:

Oh no. The community's gonna be so upset with me.

Sadie:

Is he? So I have a, a channel point redemption to try to make me say Pokemon names because I am also at Pokemon names.

Sebastion:

Oh. So this,

Sadie:

this, this, we're rear are off to a great start. Let's go.

Sebastion:

Oh, no. Okay. Alright. Right. So here we go. In the realm of Pokemon, there is a main character by the name of Ash Ketchum. Ash Ketchum. As a kid, I'll, I'll spoil you, spoil it for you. He's a kid. at the start of his journey. How old is Ash? At the beginning of Pokemon 11. Is that your final answer? Yes. Unfortunately saying you have missed your first question. No, by one year. No. He is 10 years old when he starts his journey. Oh, I was so close. You were, you were really close. That was a very good guess, though. Thank you, So we're spinning the wheel here. We're moving on to the next question. All right. Hugh have landed on Harry Potter. So I need the character's name. Just a simple character's name. You can do this. I believe in you. What character is Harry Potter's Godfather. Serious Black. There you go. You've got your first and correct. Go

Sadie:

Sadie. Go Sadie Um, I, I am, I'm a a Slytherin alumni.

Sebastion:

Are you now? Oh, okay. I

Sadie:

am, I, I am of the Slytherin

Sebastion:

variety. Okay. I am representing Team Hufflepuff. Hufflepuff and Southerns are best friends. Hey, so there we go. We perfect. I like it. I like it. So our next category is in, the world of anime. Ooh. So, you know, to refresh everyone's mind on, I think only two people have gotten anime questions correct. So, oh, no, It is a hard, a hard category, but the question that, that you have gotten is there is a main character, anime main character with long blonde hair. Two buns. This character is known to transform into a different outfit in order to fight crime. This character is the one who protects the silver crystal. Which anime am I? Is it Sailor Moon? You are correct. Hey, you are correct You are correct. How'd you get that one?

Sadie:

Um, honestly it was the blonde hair with the buttons.

Sebastion:

Okay. The blood. Hair with the buns. Okay. Okay, so you got two, correct? I like that. I like that. Heck yeah. Oh, okay. Okay, so you've gotten two right? So far. One wrong. So you could still get the record here. You know, like you can get second place with, you know, four questions. Correct? No one's ever gotten the four correct before. Oh gosh. That's pressure our next category is in the realm of Nintendo. In Nintendo, I am a character that fights aliens. I have a suit that transforms. I am in Super Smash Brothers. What character am I? Or who am I? I'm trying to, I'm

Sadie:

I'm trying. Oh God. It has been so long since I've played Smash Brothers. Yeah.

Sebastion:

So for the audience, um, I gotta ask you, how big of an Nintendo person are you? Thicker than me.

Sadie:

Oh my God. All I could think of is Mario. And I know that's Barry incorrect. We're just gonna go, Mario, that's not right, but that's all I can think of. My brain has betrayed me. That

Sebastion:

is not the answer we're looking for. We're looking for Soma or Metro Prime. Who? So I'd take it you. You're not aware of that character? Nope. Nope. Okay. Okay. I understand. Oh, no.

Sadie:

All the Nintendo people are gonna come after

Sebastion:

me. Yeah. Yeah. But you're at your final question. You have category A or category B, the red pill of the blue pill, so to speak. Which will you choose? Category A or category B? Let's go

Sadie:

A.

Sebastion:

Let's get spicy. I like that. I like that, that that shows confidence. So in category, Oof. This is a tough one. Oh no, I don't. You said oof. This is a tough one. Oh no. In the category of Lord of the Rings. Okay. Okay. so in the category of Lord of the Rings, what is the name of the Elvin character with blonde hair, blue eyes, who is lethal with a bow and charming with his, looks like a list. That is correct. You have, you officially have three, right? So you did pretty good. You did pretty. I always give people the option Would you like to go down the rabbit hole and see? See what you would've gotten if you would've chose B? I do. I do wanna know. Okay. So if you would've chose the category of B, you would've gotten Batman. Oh, Would you like to hear the Batman question? Yes, please. Okay. Okay. You could possibly get this one. All right. So in the realm of Batman, what is Selena Cow's secret identity in Batman? Selena Cows. Selena cows. Yes. Catwoman. You would've got it correct. Either way. You would've got it. Yeah.

Sadie:

that was a

Sebastion:

total guess. You would've got it correct. Either way. Heck yeah. So, Sadie, I gotta ask you, you, you went three, you missed two. Uh, you, you would've got it correct either way or whichever direction you went on category five. But how do you think you did on the pro nerd trivia? I

Sadie:

am a semi

Sebastion:

nerd, apparently. Yeah, for sure, for sure. Did you surprise yourself with how much you knew on the spot? I think so.

Sadie:

I, I don't, I don't typically think well under pressure, so I don't put pat myself on the back for

Sebastion:

that one. Okay. Okay. So when you're, when your community watches this or listens to this episode, what do you think they're gonna think about your performance?

Sadie:

They're gonna be very upset with me about the Pokemon question.

Sebastion:

Uh, you think that's the one that's really gonna stick out and haunt you? I think

Sadie:

so. Okay. They'll probably be a little upset about the, what was

Sebastion:

his name? SaaS. And, and SaaS is a lady, by the way. Oh, Yeah. So this is a lady we're talking about here. Oh my goodness. Yeah.

Sadie:

Yeah, they're gonna be maybe a little upset with me about

Sebastion:

that one. Yeah. You might have to end up playing Metroid for the community after that one. So, Sadie, before we go though, what words of inspiration would you give to people right now? Um,

Sadie:

I, I thought about it and I think that I would tell everyone, uh, that life's too short, not to be silly and laugh at yourself. Do the things that make you happy and never apologize for being who you

Sebastion:

are. I like it. I like it. That's profound. I like that. My last question is probably the hardest question you're gonna get before we get outta here today, and that is where can the good people find you, Sadie?

Sadie:

Oh, hey. Uh, so I stream Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. That's like 30 pm Eastern standard time on Twitch. Uh, my username is the same across all platforms. So TikTok, Twitch, uh, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, it's all CJ 1 0 1. You can find me in all of those platforms, are you just as wild and crazy and loud and obnoxious on all of them?

Sebastion:

I like that. I like that. So that's a wrap for today's episode. Do you have any last things you'd like to say to the audience? Sadie? Uh, Hi, mom. Hello, mom. So Sadie, I want to thank you so much for being on the show. You were amazing as a guest. I very much enjoyed having you on and anytime that you're available that you wanna just come on and talk, anything and everything from the silliness of like nerdom all the way to horror games, you are more than welcome. You're part of the pro nerd fam. Thank you so much for being on the show today. Thank you so much for having me.

Sadie:
